The Chujoe Wiki

Chu Joe means "Uncle Joe" in Vietnamese. Actually, it means "father's younger brother" & carries with it the idea of the younger uncle, who is not as demanding and aloof as either father or father's elder brother. I acquired the title in 1998 while teaching in Hanoi: it is what my younger Vietnamese friends call me.
